Scottsdale
Scottsdale is a city in Maricopa County, Arizona, located in the eastern part of the Phoenix metropolitan area, incorporated in 1951 and named for founder Winfield Scott. The city covers about 184 square miles and had a population of 241,361 at the 2020 census.

Schools
The Scottsdale Unified School District (SUSD), founded in 1896, serves most of the city of Scottsdale along with parts of Paradise Valley, Phoenix, Fountain Hills, and Tempe. The district includes 14 elementary schools, 2 K-8 schools, 6 middle schools, and 5 high schools. District boundaries do not extend north of Pinnacle Peak Road or south of McKellips Road, though they reach into the Arcadia neighborhood of east Phoenix. Getting around
Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is located roughly 15 to 20 minutes from Scottsdale by car, and rental car agencies operate from the airport as well as local offices in the city. Scottsdale itself does not have a light rail station, but the Valley Metro Light Rail stops in neighboring Tempe and Phoenix, connecting to downtown Phoenix and Arizona State University. Valley Metro also runs bus routes through Scottsdale, including service near Old Town Scottsdale and the Scottsdale Waterfront. Scottsdale Municipal Airport, located within the city, handles general aviation without regularly scheduled commercial flights.

Things to do
The Indian Bend Wash Trail is a north-south route that connects toward Scottsdale and passes through a series of neighborhood parks, including Eldorado Park. Downtown Scottsdale and Old Town Scottsdale are among the city's districts, alongside attractions such as Taliesin West. The Fifth Avenue shopping district and Kierland Commons shopping center are also located in the city.
